Italian super tasty Christmas Cake from Calabria
Torta di Natale ~ Delicate coils of pastry surround raisins and walnuts in this traditional Calabrian treat. This is my revised edition of this recipe. I received this recipe from my Mother-In-Law after enjoying it every year for Christmas, and I have been making it myself for the past 10 years for my family. Christmas just would not be the same if we did not have this cake to enjoy each year.

My Aunt Mary made this cake every year at Christmas, an Easter too because we all loved it so much. Your ingredients seem the same (although my Aunt never gave ingredient measurements), and t she used oil instead of honey over the top.. This made it more cake like, while my mother’s was more cookie like, not at all moist. I have been searching for this recipe. Do you have any other similar one.
